Vision Bearer

Apostle James Israel Tukei is the Overseer and Founder of Light Resurrection Ministries International. His ministry is rooted in a conviction that the Church is called not only to gather, but to carry the Word of God into the places where people live, work and struggle. Through his years of ministry, he has served the Church in Soroti and beyond, providing spiritual leadership, preaching the Word and helping establish a growing ministry presence across different communities. Together with Pastor Grace Tukei, he leads a ministry committed to the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and to seeing lives changed through the Word, prayer, worship, fellowship and practical service. His leadership is expressed through the life of the local church, but also through evangelism, prayer gatherings, crusades, community outreach and ministry beyond the walls of the church.

His Message

The Mandate

The mandate entrusted to Apostle James Tukei is expressed simply: To rescue the world from all oppression, bondage and captivity through the proclamation of the Word of God. That mandate shapes the ministry's work. It is seen in preaching and evangelism, in church planting and missions, in prayer and revival gatherings, in the training and development of ministers and leaders, and in outreach to people in schools, prisons, hospitals and communities. It also extends to practical service. Through charitable and community development initiatives, the ministry seeks to support children, youth, widows and other people facing difficult circumstances, while helping people develop skills and opportunities for greater self-reliance. For Apostle James Tukei, the work of ministry is therefore both proclamation and service: preaching the Gospel, building the Church and taking that faith into the wider community.
